The Wonder Years - Pilot is the first episode of season one an it of corse marks the beginning of the series and it was aired in March 15, 1988.
In this episode, Kevin Arnold (Fred Savage) and his friends Paul Pfeiffer (Josh Saviano) and Winnie Cooper (Danica McKellar) are introduced during the summer of 1968 just before they are getting ready to enter the newly-renamed Robert F. Kennedy Junior High School. Kevin and Winnie share their first kiss at Harper's Woods as Winnie mourns the loss of her brother Brian (Bentley Mitchum), who is killed in action in the Vietnam War.
