The news broadcasts of the failed Apollo XIII space mission has everyone on edge, so Norma goes to a church to pray for the missing astronauts. In a subplot, while in creative writing class, Mrs. Stebbins, (Salmone Jens) Kevin's English teacher tells him to write an obituary of his life but he can't decide how his life will turn out in the future.
